What is truly "real"? What could be considered as "real" in a sense of differentiating what is virtual and actual. These are questions that need to be taken under consideration due to the situation that the 21s century population has created for themselves.

In the book, do androids dream of electric sheep, the author Philip K. Dick, reaches out to the readers and explains the difference between "the real" to what people think can be consider as real.
c. Brief overview of story/text:
First subject that the society needs to take under consideration is the time spent in the virtual world then in the "real" world. The second idea that needs to be understood is explained in the protagonist's quest in finding empathy and the "real". Lastly, it is important to notice the misconception of what "real" really is.

The feeling of a "real" emotion is what society has somewhat become numb to, but in turn is also longing for.
